Who We Are Sarah Myers McGinty, Ph.D., is a certified educational planner and the founder and principal of McGinty Consulting Group. She is an acknowledged expert in the writing of application essays, featured prominently each year in US News and World Report's Guide to the Best Colleges and appearing on NPR and in the Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Fortune, the Harvard Management Communication Letter. She is the author of Writing Your College Application Essay and The College Application Essay (College Board), and received an NACAC-sponsored research grant to study the evaluation of application essays while at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She taught and served as a University Supervisor at Harvard from 1993-2005. The Team Tim Donovan is a specialist in college selection for athletes and has been helping families navigate the recruitment process since 1997. He has placed athletes at over 60 colleges and universities throughout the country, in Division I, II and III, and has broad knowledge and experience in assisting tennis players in their college search. A graduate of Brown University, he was a two-time Ivy League tennis Player of the Year and played professionally on the ATP tour for four years, attaining a top-300 world ranking. Tim also coached the men's varsity tennis team at Harvard University. Timothy B. Lee, M.Ed., has guided people in informed educational decisions for more than three decades. He serves independent school clients, college-bound students, and those who seek special needs planning. A former admission officer at several New England independent schools, he has also served as a teacher, dorm head, coach, and tutor. He holds a B.A. from Harvard College and a master's degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Lisa Ratmansky, Ph.D., is an educational consultant and specialist in the creation of personal statements and application essays. She has taught writing at the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard College, and Princeton University. She is an expert on the development of a personal voice in writing and presently serves as the director of writing support services at the Center for Teaching and Learning at Cabrini College in Radnor, PA. |
